With 108,973 people, Florissant, Missouri is a moderately populated city. There are 10 nursing homes there, which gives you a few choices. This place's nursing homes received a city grade of D, which is a very poor score at the city level. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Granite City, which received an alarming city grade of F. While neither city comes highly recommended, Florissant surprisingly looks like a better choice. We don't have too many positive things to say about this place's nursing homes, but their best category was inspection grades. You can scroll down to find out about inspections and other category grades.
This city received a terrible overall grade, however, we wanted to acknowledge the city's respectable health inspections the past few years. We gave them a B- in that area. We would argue that one of the most critical factors in evaluating an inspection report is deficiencies. We especially look at the severity of those deficiencies. Surprisingly, this city performed better in our short-term care category as well, where it earned a grade of C for that category. Finally, we gave the city concerningly weak grades for our nursing and long-term care areas respectively.
