(a)General. We collect data about users of our Services, including anyone who visits our Website (hereinafter referred to as "you"). We may collect data that identifies or is associated with or otherwise linked to you and/or your household ("Personal Information") when you use our Services or access our Website, or when you otherwise contact us or any of our partners. The quantity of Personal Information we collect will depend in part on your level of use of our Services as well as your communications with us and/or our partners
(b)Personal Information You May Provide Directly. Some of the Personal Information is collected directly from you, including identifying information such as your name, address, phone number and email address.You may also elect to provide us with financial information or information about your business dealings with various senior living facilities or other providers of services. Finally, you may also elect to provide us with health or medical information. Any of this Personal Information may be provided to us by third parties you provided it to as well, including our partners, senior living communities, social media websites or other third parties.
(c)User Content.You may elect to write comments or reviews (“User Content”) on our Website, in which case we cannot control who sees or accesses said User Content. You provide this User Content at your own risk.
(d)Information We Collect Automatically. We automatically collect certain information about you when you use our Services or visit our Website through our use of analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, as well as other cookies, tags, web beacons, scripts and other similar tools.Personal Information which we collect automatically includes information relating to how you use our Website or Services (i.e. pages you view and links you click, referring/exit pages, date/time stamp and clickstream data), information about your browser and usage patterns (i.e. your IP address, browser type, operating system and language), geolocation data and information about how you access our Website or Services. We may combine this information with other Personal Information we collect from you for any valid commercial purpose. We may also permit third party online advertising networks, social media companies and other third party services to collect information about your use of our Services or Website over time so that they may play or display personalized or interest-based ads on our Website.
(f)Web Beacons. We also may use a web beacon to collect information about you. A web beacon is used in combination with cookies, and is often used as a transparent graphic image that is placed on a website or in an e-mail that is used to monitor the behavior of the user visiting the website or sending an e-mail. When the HTML code for the web beacon points to a website to retrieve the image, at the same time it can pass along information such as the IP address of the computer that retrieved the image, the time the web beacon was viewed and for how long, the type of browser that retrieved the image and previously set cookie values.
Web beacons are typically used by a third-party to monitor the activity of a website. Turning off your browser’s cookies will prevent web beacons from tracking your activity. The web beacon will still account for an anonymous visit, but your unique information will not be record code, your usage patterns, name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and other similar information collected on the website, unless it is unauthorized by law.
2.Use and Disclosure of Personal Information.
(a)Our Use of Your Personal Information. We may use your Personal Information as well as other information we collect automatically for any valid commercial purpose. Specifically, we use your Personal Information to learn more about you and your senior living needs in order to assist you in completing a senior living search or other related transactions. We may use your Personal Information in order to communicate with you directly or by sharing your Personal Information with our Partners who may communicate with you, including, but not limited to, by phone, email or mailings. We or our partners may also use your Personal Information in order to provide you with more targeted advertising. Finally, we may use your Personal Information in order to conduct internal research, market analysis, Website troubleshooting and security monitoring.
(b)Disclosure of Your Personal Information.We may disclose your Personal Information for any legally permissible commercial purpose to a variety of third parties, including, but not limited to, senior living communities, service providers, senior living placement agents, our partners or for our internal operations or in any corporate transaction we are involved in such as a merger, consolidation or sale of our business. Some of your anonymous or de-identified information which is collected automatically through analytics tools may be shared automatically with third parties as described above in Article 1. If you do not want us to share your Personal Information, please do not provide it to us.
(c)Security. We seek to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Information while it is under our control, but transmission of data over the internet is never without risk. We cannot guarantee the security of any Personal Information you share with us or third parties. If an unauthorized third party compromises our security measures, we are not liable or responsible to you for any damages caused by such third party’s use or disclosure of your Personal Information. We disclaim any liability and you hereby release us from any liability to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law with regard to any security breaches or accessing your Personal Information. We encourage you to take your own precautions to protect your Personal Information, such as using secure browsers, strong passwords and exercising caution in sharing Personal Information in any User Content you may provide.
3.Communications. Any time you submit Personal Information to our Website or make an inquiry for any services, you are automatically consenting to being contacted by us or any third party with whom we share your Personal Information. You may be contacted directly by phone, email, mail, text message, fax, or any other means of communication. If you provide us with your phone number or call us (which enables us to capture your phone number for future use), you also consent to being contacted by automatic dialing systems used by us, our partners and any third parties we share your Personal Information with, even if you have previously registered on a “Do Not Call” registry. Finally, you also expressly consent to us, our partners or any third parties who call you recording and/or monitoring said telephone communications for quality control purposes.
4.Children. Our Services are not directed at persons under 16 years of age and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under age 16. If you become aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, without your consent, then please contact us using the details below so that we can take steps to remove such information and terminate any account your child has created with us.
