On top of having quality nursing homes overall, this place really excelled in our long-term care category where it received a grade of A. Very few cities fared this well in this area. Facilities that do well in long-term care typically provide residents with closer supervision and stay on top of routine medical care. In addition, we also wanted to emphasize that some of its nursing homes received virtually perfect health inspections the past few years. For this reason, we awarded the city an A- for this area. Wrapping up its excellent report card, Englewood received an A- for its short-term care rating and a grade of B in nursing.
