Our data for Astoria, New York is based on just one nursing home we found in the city. We were relieved to discover that its only nursing home received an excellent overall grade of B+. Our inspection grades are tied to several pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that score well in this category have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This place also excelled in the area of long-term care, where it earned a B+. In the last two categories, we gave the city a B- in our short-term care category and a grade of B- in the area of nursing.
