There are four facilities in Avon, Indiana, so at least you have a few options to choose from. These nursing homes didn't really stand out from a quality perspective either. The city was awarded a city grade of C, which is not one of our stronger scores at the city level. We also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Martinsville, which received a city grade of F. While we gave both cites weak grades, we found the nursing homes in Avon to be a better bet. The best part of this city's report card was is its inspection reports. Inspection grades are discussed in the next paragraph.
This city's overall grade was propped up by its favorable government inspections in recent years. We gave them one of our higher scores in that category, with a grade of B+. Our inspection ratings are based on items located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that receive favorable grades in this category have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Inspections appears to be this city's second best category. We awarded it a grade of B- in this category. In our final two categories, we gave Avon rock bottom grades in our nursing and long-term care areas respectively.
