To go along with a favorable overall score, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. Arguably the most significant factor we look at in computing our inspection grades is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities with higher scores in this area most likely dodged the more severe deficiencies involving health risks or even death. Unfortunately, it does not appear that we have information about this nursing home's deficiencies. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

This facility performed well in our long-term care category. In fact, we awarded it a score of A for that category, which happens to be one of our highest scores. For prospective residents seeking a permanent place to live as opposed to skilled nursing, long-term care grades are a key measure. After looking at the quantity of care provided by aids and other staff, we turned to the facility's vaccination statistics. This facility vaccinated 89.32039 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which happens to be somewhat below what we were hoping for but still a decent figure. Clearly, this facility is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its residents out of the hospital. It had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

Another one of this facility's impressive category grades came in the area of nursing care. We awarded them one of our better scores in that area, with a grade of B. Our nursing grade is based on a variety of subcategories. The most heavily weighted factor is the number of hours nurses spend with residents. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This facility performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can frequently be prevented if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

The next category we analyzed was this nursing home's weakest area. However, even in its worst category we still gave it an acceptable grade of C in short-term care.
