Farmington, Michigan has just three nursing homes to choose from, which is a limited selection. Sadly, we gave the nursing homes here city grade of D, which is a very weak score at the city level. By way of comparison, we awarded the nursing homes in the local city of Royal Oak a city grade of F, which is a well below average score. Although neither city received a rave review, we found the nursing homes in Farmington to be a better bet. We don't have too many good things to say about this city's facilities, but their best category was nursing scores. You can scroll down to find out about this.
Despite receiving a terrible overall grade, this city performed better in our nursing category. In fact, the city received a grade of B- in this area. We assessed the licensure of nurses working for the nursing home, in addition to the number of hours the nurses worked with residents, in determining our grade in this area. Surprisingly, this city performed respectably in our inspection category as well, where it received a grade of B- for this category. Finally, this place earned grades of C and F for our short-term care and long-term care categories respectively. In spite of an otherwise decent profile, a long-term care grade this poor may be concerning for some prospective residents.
