With 43,315 people, Northville, Michigan is a relatively small city. Unfortunately, there is only one nursing home there. Fortunately, its only nursing home received a top-notch overall grade of A-. We also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Southfield. With Southfield receiving an awful city grade, we found the nursing home in Northville to be rated much higher than most of the facilities in Southfield. In addition, Northville is also one of the 500 best cities in the entire country.
To go along with its great overall grade, we awarded this city's sole nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in computing our inspection scores. One of those factors is deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of deficiencies is usually more important than the number of deficiencies, as some end up being relatively minor. This place also earned one of our better grades in long-term care, where we gave it a grade of B+ for the category. Rounding out its quality report card, the city received a B+ for short-term care and a B in the area of nursing. We truly found Northville to be very strong in every category.
