There are eight facilities in New Orleans, Louisiana, which provides you with a decent number of choices. This place's nursing homes received a good city grade of B. We also assessed the facilities in the nearby city of Kenner, which received a city grade of F. We found New Orleans to be on a whole other level. In fact, we awarded the city an A+ for that category, which is one of our highest scores. Our inspection ratings are tied to many pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that receive favorable grades in this category tend to have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. The city also received strong long-term care rating where it received a B+ in this area. Lastly, this place earned a B- for its short-term care grade and a C in nursing.
