With a population of 28,929 people, Burbank, Illinois is a relatively small city. There are only 2 nursing homes in the city, which doesn't give you too many options to choose from. Unfortunately, we gave the nursing homes in this city city grade of D, which is a very weak grade at the city level. For comparison's sake, we also assessed the facilities in the nearby city of Cicero. While we aren't fans of either city, we found the facilities in Burbank to be a better bet. We really don't have too many positive things to say about this city's nursing homes, but they did receive surprisingly strong inspection grades. While its overall grade was abysmal, we awarded Burbank a B+ for our inspections rating. This category clearly wasn't the source of this city's concerning overall grade. Our inspection grades account for a host of factors included in a facility's inspection report. One of the most important criteria we rely on is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. You should avoid places with a list of deficiencies flagged. Surprisingly, this city also performed decently in the area of short-term care, where it received a grade of C in this category. In the other categories we looked at, this place earned a C for nursing and a grade of F for long-term care. Despite otherwise respectable category grades, this city's poor long-term care score could be concerning for many people.
