With a population of 28,929 , Burbank, Illinois is a relatively small city. There are just 2 nursing homes in the city, which does not provide you with too many choices. Unfortunately, we gave the nursing homes here city grade of D, which is a terrible grade at the city level. As bad as this city's grade is, we surprisingly found gave the nearby city of Elmwood Park an even worse score. With Elmwood Park receiving an awful grade, we would advise you to tread carefully in either city. We don't have many good things to say about this place's facilities, but they did receive surprisingly strong inspection scores. You can scroll down to learn more about this.
Despite receiving an abysmal overall grade, the nursing homes in Burbank performed favorably in our inspections category. In fact, many of the nursing homes here received strong inspection reports this year. Consequently, we awarded Burbank one of our better ratings in that area with a B+. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in calculating these inspection scores. One of those factors is health deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of these deficiencies is usually more important than the number of deficiencies, as some of these are quite insignificant. Surprisingly, Burbank also performed decently in our nursing category, where it received a grade of C in this area. In the last two categories, we gave the city grades of C and D for our short-term care and long-term care categories respectively. Despite an otherwise respectable profile, a long-term care grade this poor may be an issue for some prospective residents.
