Short-term Care Quality
To pair with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for its nursing grade. Short-term care grades are generally employed to gauge a nursing home's performance with rehabilitation. In order to offer high-end rehabilitation services, nursing homes generally need to provide higher levels of highly skilled nursing. These types of services include registered nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists and other types of therapists. Remarkably, this nursing home provides about 50% more services from physical therapists and registered nurses than most nursing homes we looked at. This is a very favorable sign. Lastly, we looked at the percentage of patients who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that it outperformed the vast majority of nursing homes in the nation in this area with 74.6 percent of its residents returning home. This is a significantly higher rate than most facilities.
This nursing home also received an A+ inspection score, making it one of the rare facilities to receive multiple A+'s in our categories. This is based on the facility's government inspections. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing our inspection grades. One of those factors is health deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of deficiencies is usually more important than the quantity of deficiencies, as some of these are quite minor. Although this nursing home had some deficiencies on its report, none were major deficiencies based on CMS' scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

This is one of the most highly trained levels of nurses. On top of offering impressive levels of care, this place also excelled in the quality-based metrics we looked at.
