There are four nursing homes in Grapevine, Texas, which at least gives you a few options. This small group of facilities were awarded on average an overall grade of B, which is a good rating for the city. By way of comparison, we awarded the facilities in the local city of Coppell a city grade of F, which is a very poor grade. Clearly, we found the facilities in Grapevine to be in a totally different league than the ones in Coppell. This city's strong profile was highlighted by its nursing homes' inspection ratings, which we will address in the next paragraph.
In addition to having excellent nursing homes on the whole, this city really excelled in the area of inspections, where it received an A. Not many cities performed better in this category. Inspection ratings are tied to several datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that excel in this category have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. In addition, Grapevine earned a B+ in the area of long-term care. In the other categories we looked at, Grapevine were awarded a C for nursing and a C for short-term care.
