Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A

In addition to being a first rate facility overall, this nursing home also excelled in the area of short-term care, where it received an A. Our short-term care grades are based in part on the facility's quantity of highly-skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This includes a vast range of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 6.3 percent of this facility's patients returned home.

Facility Inspections

Grade: A

This facility has earned near flawless government inspections recently. We awarded them an A in this area. Our inspection scores are tied to many pieces of information found on the a nursing home's inspections. Facilities that excel in this category typically have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This nursing home was hit with 3 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none were considered to be severe deficiencies. This particular nursing home provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This nursing home performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
