Cedar Grove, New Jersey offers only five nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. This small group of facilities earned on average an overall grade of B, which is a good grade for the city. For comparison's sake, we also assessed the nursing homes in the nearby city of East Orange, which received a city grade of B. We found both cities to be fine options, with the nursing homes in Cedar Grove being every bit as good as the ones in East Orange. Our inspection grades are tied to items located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that receive favorable grades in this area typically have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Cedar Grove also received one of our better grades in the area of nursing, with a B. In our final two categories, the city received middle of the road grades in our long-term care and short-term care areas.
