Boston, Massachusetts offers only three nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. This small group of facilities earned on average an overall grade of B, which is a perfectly respectable rating for the city. In fact, this city's city grade was far better than the city grade of nursing homes in the local city of Arlington. While this grade are not terrible, we found Boston to be in a totally different league. In particular, we wanted to point out that there is one really elite nursing home in the city. This is most likely where we would begin our search here.

In addition to a strong overall grade, this city's nursing homes received one of our better grades in short-term care with a grade of B+. With a short-term care score of this caliber we would expect most of the facilities here to offer high levels of physical and occupational therapy staffing. Boston received quality inspection reports this year as well, earning a B+ in this category. Wrapping up its report card, we gave the city strong grades for our nursing and long-term care areas as well.
