We gave this city a city grade of C based on the quality of its nursing homes. This is not a great city score. This grade is below average by national standards. This place was stronger in some categories than others, but it did not have terrible scores in any of our four major categories. More information about its category grades is available in the next paragraph.
While its overall score was fairly ordinary, we awarded this city an A- for our inspections rating. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing our inspection ratings. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of deficiencies is usually more meaningful than the number of deficiencies, as some of these end up being quite insignificant. This city's second best score came in our short-term care category, where Fort Wayne received a B-. Finally, we gave Fort Wayne middle of the pack grades for our nursing and long-term care categories.
