With 65,810 people, Arcadia, California is a relatively small city. There are just 2 nursing homes there, which does not give you too many options. Unfortunately, we gave this city a city grade of D, which is a sign that these nursing homes generally did not fare well in our ratings. For comparison's sake, we also assessed the facilities in the nearby city of Montebello, which received a terrible city grade of F. While neither city comes highly recommended, Arcadia looks like the slightly better option. The only positive thing we can really say about this city is that it didn't receive any F's in in any of the major categories. More information about its category grades can be found below.
While its overall score was as bad as it gets, the nursing homes in Arcadia performed decently in nursing. We gave them a grade of B- for this category. The nursing grade includes a host of subcategories. The most heavily weighted factor is the quantity of hours nurses spend with patients. Surprisingly, Arcadia also performed respectably in the area of inspections, where we gave it a respectable government inspection report this year. It received a C in this area. In the other categories we looked at, we gave Arcadia middle of the pack grades for our short-term care and long-term care areas.
