With two nursing homes in the city, there are only a couple of options in Mountainside, New Jersey. We gave the nursing homes in this city an excellent city grade of A-. Even with just a couple of facilities, this is still a great achievement. We also looked at the nursing homes in the nearby city of Plainfield, which received a city grade of B+. As good as the nursing homes are in Plainfield, we found Mountainside to be rated even higher. Finally, this city's category grades were just as strong as its city grade. You can find more information about these in the next paragraph.
This city's nursing homes received a strong overall grade, but we especially wanted to emphasize that some of its facilities received nearly perfect health inspections the past few years. We gave Mountainside an impressive grade of A+ in this area. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in computing our inspection scores. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of the deficiencies is arguably more important than the quantity of deficiencies, as some deficiencies are relatively minor. Mountainside performed spectacularly well in the area of short-term care as well. Consequently, we awarded Mountainside an A- in that category. Wrapping up its quality report card, this place earned a grade of B+ for its nursing score and a B+ in long-term care. We found this place to be very competent everywhere we looked.
