We were able to find only one nursing home in Morristown, New Jersey. We were relieved to discover that its only nursing home received a very good overall grade of B+. We also assessed the nursing homes in the nearby city of Union. We found the facility in Morristown to be in a totally different league than most of the nursing homes in Union. The best aspect of this facility's strong profile is its inspection reports. We discuss inspections in the next paragraph
To pair with its strong overall grade, we awarded this city's nursing home an A for our inspections rating. Our inspection ratings are based on pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that excel in this area typically have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This place also performed extremely well in our short-term care category, where it earned a grade of A-. Rounding out its profile, the city earned grades of B+ and D for our nursing and long-term care categories respectively. For the most part, we were impressed with this city's category scores, but it really struggled in the area of long-term care.
