We assessed the only nursing home in Everett, Massachusetts. We were relieved to discover that its only nursing home received a strong overall grade of B+. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the nursing homes in the nearby city of Boston, which has some good nursing homes of its own. Nevertheless, we found that this nursing home in Everett was possibly an even better option than most of the facilities in Boston. The best part of this facility's strong report card is its nursing grade. We discuss nursing in the following paragraph.
In addition to performing well in its overall grade, this city's only nursing home performed remarkably well in our nursing category. Consequently, we awarded it one of our highest scores in that category with a grade of A. Our nursing score focuses on a facility's nurse staffing levels. We look at both the levels of skill of those nurses and the amount of time spent with patients. We also awarded this facility an A for our long-term care category. In the last two categories, Everett received a B+ in our inspections category and a grade of C for short-term care.
