Chelsea, Massachusetts has only four nursing homes to choose from, so you don't have too many options to choose from. The nursing homes in this city received a very good city grade of B+. Even with only a couple of facilities, this is still an impressive city grade. In fact, this place's city grade was far better than the city grade of facilities in the local city of Watertown. While the nursing homes in Watertown are not that bad, we found Chelsea to be in a totally different league. This city's profile is also very consistent as it did not receive a single poor category grade either. You can read more about these in the next section.
This city's nursing homes received a great overall grade, but we also wanted to point out that we awarded Chelsea an impressive grade of A- in the area of long-term care. In a long-term care setting, the facility's primary goal is to keep patients as healthy and safe as possible. This is different than skilled nursing or short-term care where the goal is to rehabilitate patients. We also wanted to emphasize that some of its nursing homes received almost flawless health inspections the past few years. For this reason, we gave Chelsea an A- in this category. Lastly, we gave the city middle of the road grades for our short-term care and nursing areas.
