There are only 3 nursing homes in Strongsville, Ohio, servicing a population of 44,785 people. This small group of facilities were awarded on average an overall grade of B, which is a perfectly respectable rating for the city. By way of comparison, we awarded the nursing homes in the local city of Lorain a city grade of C, which is lower score. Although the two cities were relatively similar, we found the nursing homes in Strongsville to be a slightly better option. The best aspect of Strongsville's impressive profile was its nursing homes' inspection reports. We discuss inspections in the next paragraph
To pair with its great overall grade, we awarded this city an A in our inspections rating. Perhaps the most important factor we look at in calculating our inspection grades is deficiencies. These deficiencies are found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Facilities with higher scores in this area most likely avoided the more severe deficiencies involving patient abuse or death. The city earned a B for the city's short-term care rating. In the other categories we looked at, Strongsville earned a grade of B- for long-term care and a C in nursing.
