There are just 3 nursing homes in North Andover, Massachusetts, providing for a population of 28,352 people. The nursing homes in this city received a superb city grade of A-. Even with just a couple of nursing homes, this is still a great achievement. We found this city grade to be even better than the city grade of B received by the nearby city of Salem. Both cities received impressive grades, but North Andover appears to be an even better choice. The best aspect of North Andover's impressive report card was its nursing homes' inspection grades. Inspection reports are discussed in the next paragraph
On top of having excellent nursing homes overall, this place really excelled in the category of inspections, where we gave it an A. Not many cities performed better in this category. Perhaps the most important factor we look at in computing our inspection scores is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Facilities with better grades in this area typically dodged the most severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. In addition, we also wanted to emphasize that we awarded North Andover an A- for our long-term care category. Rounding out its quality profile, North Andover received a B+ for its short-term care rating and a B+ in the area of nursing. We really found North Andover to be competent in every category.
