On top of receiving an elite overall grade, this facility also earned an A+ inspection rating. This grade is based on the facility's recent inspection reports. An A+ in this area is one of the best complements we can offer a facility. Our inspection scores are tied to many pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that score well in this area tend to have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Amazingly, this was one of the few nursing homes in the country that had no deficiencies whatsoever on its inspection report. This is very impressive. Long-term care grades in this range generally require both around the clock care from nurses and aids, as well as quality routine medical care. Once we looked at the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination statistics. This facility vaccinated 100 percent of its residents against pneumonia. Vaccines are critical to keeping patients out of the hospital. Clearly, this facility is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

Turning to the last category, this nursing home was awarded an extremely favorable short-term care rating. We gave it a grade of B+ in this category, wrapping up one of our more impressive profiles. Short-term care scores are based in part on a nursing home's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a vast scope of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this facility employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, based on the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The final statistic we looked at in this category is the number of residents who were able to leave the nursing home and return to the community. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's patients were able to return home.
