While its overall grade was terrible, we awarded this city's nursing homes a B for our short-term care category. This category clearly is not the reason for this place's alarming overall grade. Our short-term care scores are arguably most critical for individuals requiring rehabilitation services. Rehabilitation usually requires higher levels of highly-skilled nursing. Skilled nursing means not only nursing, but also physical and respiratory therapy, as well as other forms of therapy. Surprisingly, we also gave this city a decent grade of B- for our nursing category. Finally, the city received a B- for its inspections rating and a grade of F in long-term care. It goes without saying that this city's long-term care rating really dragged down its overall score.
