On top of faring well in its overall grade, this nursing home received an excellent short-term care rating. We gave it an impressive grade of A in that category. With our short-term care grade, we endeavor to forge a meaningful gauge for rehabilitation services. In this process, we look at the nursing home's scope of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as respiratory therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the percentage of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 6.1 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home.
Adding to this facility's impressive resume, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A for our inspections rating. Inspection grades take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies and federal fines. You can learn more about each of these items by obtaining copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. We weren't able to track down deficiency counts for this nursing home. Without all of the deficiency related data for this nursing home, it was a challenge to fully grade the place in this category.

Long-term Care Quality
The last category we analyzed is long-term care, where this facility received a B-. Even though this wound up being its least impressive category score, this is nevertheless not a major area of concern. For long-term care residents, the facility's primary objective is to keep patients as healthy and safe as possible. This is different than skilled nursing or short-term care where the goal is to rehabilitate residents. On top of looking at the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. Unfortunately, we were not able to find this place's vaccination data. Lastly, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
