Nurse Quality
In addition to being a quality nursing home overall, this facility really excelled in nursing, where it received an A-. We analyzed the levels of nurses employed by the nursing home, as well as the quantity of time the nurses were with patients, in computing our rating in this category. This facility provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed several nursing quality-based metrics and this place excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any facility Illinois in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can frequently be avoided by providing better nursing care, such as by having a protocol of moving a resident even once per day.
Facility Inspections
This nursing home also excelled in the area of inspections. In fact, we awarded it a grade of B+ for that area, which is one of our best scores. This is one of the few nursing homes with an overall score in this range which earned multiple category grades this high. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in calculating these inspection grades. One critical factor is health deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of the deficiencies is usually more meaningful than the number of deficiencies, as some can be quite minor. This particular nursing home received 5 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a good inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.

This means a vast scope of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, not to mention other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not all facilities employs these types of nurses. However, according to the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 5.2 percent of this facility's patients returned home.
Long-term Care Quality

Our long-term care grade is commonly used to grade a facility's performance as a traditional convalescent home, as opposed to focusing more on the skilled nursing services offered by a rehabilitation facility. After we finished assessing the amount of nursing care, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination record. We were pleased to find that this nursing home vaccinates 96.98925 percent of its patients against pneumonia. This nursing home also excelled at keeping its patients out of the hospital.
