Coppell, Texas is a small city with 38,666 people. The city has just one nursing home, which is less than we were hoping for. Unfortunately, this nursing home did not fare well in our assessment. We awarded it a grade of D, which is a very weak grade. Nationally, most nursing homes received a much better grade than this facility. We really don't have too many positive things to say about this nursing home, but it did receive a surprisingly impressive short-term care score. You can scroll down to find out about this.
While its overall score was abysmal, we awarded this city's lone nursing home a grade of B+ for our short-term care category. This category clearly is not the source of this place's concerning overall grade. In computing our short-term care scores, we look at the facility's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists and other types of skilled professionals. Our objective is to create a measure for sizing up the rehabilitation services of nursing homes. This nursing home also earned a strong nursing rating. We gave it a B in that area. Lastly, Coppell received terrible grades in our inspections and long-term care areas respectively. Clearly, this city's long-term care rating really dragged down its overall grade.
