With a population of 49,261 , Westminster, Colorado is a relatively small city. There are only 3 nursing homes there, which does not give you too many choices. We awarded the nursing homes in this city a strong city grade of B+. Even with only a few facilities, this is still an impressive city grade. For comparison's sake, we also assessed the facilities in the nearby city of Thornton, which received a city grade of D. We found Westminster to be a far better option. Fortunately, this place did not have any bad scores in any of the four major categories. Additional information about these categories is available in the next paragraph.
One of the reasons Westminster received a favorable overall grade is that many of its facilities fared well in our nursing category with a B+. High end grades in this category generally mean the city's nursing homes have favorable nurse staffing levels. Westminster also fared well in the area of government short-term care with a grade of B+. Rounding out its impressive report card, this place earned a B+ for its inspections score and a B in long-term care. This place did not have any weak links as far as we could tell.
