Facility Inspections
Although we did not rate this facility favorably overall, we want to draw your attention to its excellent health inspections in recent years. We awarded them an impressive grade of A- in this category. Inspection ratings weigh a host of factors included in a nursing home's inspection reports. One of the most important criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. You should avoid facilities with too many severe deficiencies flagged. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety. Even with this deficiency, this place still received a relatively positive report.
Short-term Care Quality
This nursing home also received an impressive grade in our short-term care category. We gave this facility an above average grade of B in this area. In the category of short-term care, we endeavor to evaluate indicators of a nursing home's rehabilitation. We look at the nursing home's skilled nursing services, such as the ones performed by registered nurses and various therapists. We weren't able to locate information on registered nurse or physical therapy staffing for this nursing home. Lastly, we looked at the percentage of residents that who were able to eventually return home from this nursing home. We found that 6.5 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

Long-term Care Quality
This facility wound up receiving a bottom of the barrel score in our long-term care area. It received an F in this area. For prospective residents in need of a permanent residence rather than rehabilitation, long-term care grades are an important measure. After we finished looking at the amount of care provided by nurses, we turned to the facility's vaccination records. We were pleased to find that this facility vaccinates 98.11321 percent of its residents against pneumonia. Surprisingly, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this facility has fewer hospitalizations than many nursing homes. Sadly, some of its other scores in this category were not as favorable as these.
Nurse Quality
Moving on to the fourth category, this facility really did not fare well in this area either. With a poor grade of F in nursing, this is about as as uninspiring as it gets. Our nursing grade analyzes the facility's nurse staffing levels. We weigh both the levels of licensure of the nurses as well as the number of hours spent with patients. This facility provided just 0.1 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in calculating our nursing grades. This nursing home performed well in terms of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls.
