We assessed the only nursing home in New Castle, Delaware. We were relieved to discover that, this city's only nursing home received a strong grade of B+, so at least you have one good option. We also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Elkton. With Elkton receiving an awful city grade, we found the facility in New Castle to be in a totally different league than most of the nursing homes in Elkton. Although this looks like a great option, we wouldn't blame you if you want to explore other cities to see what they have to offer.
In addition to performing well overall, this city's only nursing home also received one of our higher scores in our nursing category with a B+. There are many factors included in this category. Many of the criteria reflect the quantity of nurse staffing. This nursing home also earned one of our better grades in the area of inspections, where we gave it a B+ in the category. Rounding out its report card, New Castle were awarded a grade of B+ for its short-term care grade and a grade of B+ in the area of long-term care. New Castle really didn't have any weak links as far as we could tell.
