Westfield, Indiana offers only three nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. We awarded this small group of nursing homes a city grade of B, which is a perfectly respectable grade. By way of comparison, we gave the nursing homes in the local city of Kokomo a city grade of C, which is much lower score. Naturally, we found the nursing homes in Westfield to be rated much higher than the ones in Kokomo. The best aspect of this city's strong profile is its nursing homes' inspection ratings. Inspection reports are discussed in the next section
On top of having quality nursing homes on the whole, this city's nursing homes really excelled in the area of inspections, where we gave it an A. Not many cities earned a better grade in this area. Our inspection ratings account for several factors included in a facility's inspection report. One key criteria we rely on is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. Places with higher scores in this area tend to have few severe deficiencies. In addition, the city also performed remarkably well in the area of short-term care, where we gave it an A- for this area. Rounding out its profile, this place received grades of B and D for our nursing and long-term care categories respectively. Generally speaking, we were impressed with this city's scores, but it really struggled in our long-term care category.
