This city received a solid city grade of B- based on its overall nursing home quality. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of West Chicago, which received a city grade of D. We found North Aurora to be in a totally different league. This place was stronger in some categories than others, but it didn't have bad scores in any of the major areas discussed below. More information about its category grades is available in the next paragraph.
This city's best category grade came in our nursing category. In this category, we gave North Aurora a B+. With a nursing score this high we'd expect most of the facilities in North Aurora to have high levels of nurse staffing. In addition, the city also received favorable health inspections in recent years. As a result, we gave it one of our better grades in that category, with a B. In the other categories we looked at, we gave the city a B- for short-term care and a grade of C for long-term care.
