With a population of 239,879 people, Chula Vista, California is one of is a fairly large city. Surprisingly, there are only 4 nursing homes in the city, which is not as many as we expected in a city of this size. Despite not having a ton of nursing homes, its nursing homes received an excellent city grade of B+. We also assessed the nursing homes in the nearby city of Vista, which received a city grade of B-. While there is nothing wrong with this grade, we found the nursing homes Chula Vista to be better on the whole. We were also pleased to find that this place's nursing homes didn't have any weak links in any of the four major categories. In addition to performing well in its overall grade, most of the facilities in Chula Vista performed especially well in short-term care. We awarded Chula Vista one of our best ratings in that category with a grade of A. With a short-term care score this high we would expect most of the nursing homes here to offer quality rehabilitation services. In addition, Chula Vista also performed spectacularly well in our nursing category, where it earned an A- for this area. Rounding out its quality report card, the city received a B+ for long-term care and a B+ in inspections. We really found this city to be very competent in every category.
