While its overall score was terrible, this city's nursing home performed decently in our short-term care category. We awarded them a C for that category, which is one of our better scores. Short-term care scores are based in part on a nursing home's quantity of highly-skilled highly skilled professionals. This means a wide range of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, not to mention other forms of therapy. This city's next best category was in the nursing category, where we gave it just a D. In the other categories we looked at, the city received rock bottom grades in our inspections and long-term care categories respectively. Clearly, this city's long-term care rating really dragged down its overall score.
