Mckeesport, Pennsylvania offers just two nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. The nursing homes here received a top-notch city grade of A-. Even with just a couple of nursing homes, this is still quite an achievement. By way of comparison, we gave the facilities in the nearby city of Wheeling a city grade of B-, which is not a bad grade. Nevertheless, we found the facilities in Mckeesport to be rated much higher than the ones in Wheeling. This place's strong report card was highlighted by its nursing homes' inspection ratings, which is addressed in the next paragraph.
This city received a strong overall grade, but we especially wanted to point out that some of its nursing homes received nearly perfect health inspections the past few years. We gave Mckeesport an elite grade of A+ in this category. Our inspection ratings are based on several pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that score well in this area typically have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. The city also performed extremely well in the area of nursing, where it earned an A- for this area. Wrapping up its quality report card, this place received a grade of B+ for its long-term care rating and a B in short-term care. Mckeesport didn't have any weak links as far as we could tell.
