Mckeesport, Pennsylvania offers just two nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. The nursing homes here received a strong city grade of B+. Even with just a couple of nursing homes, this is still a great sign. By way of comparison, we gave the facilities in the nearby city of Wheeling a city grade of B, which is also a good score. Nevertheless, we found the nursing homes in Mckeesport to be a slightly better option on average than the ones in Wheeling. In fact, some of its facilities received nearly perfect inspection reports this year. Consequently, it received one of our highest ratings in that category with an A. Inspection scores are tied to several pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that score well in this category typically have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. The city also earned one of our better scores in the area of nursing, with a B+. Wrapping up its quality report card, this place earned a B+ for its long-term care rating and a B for short-term care. This city really didn't have any weak links based on our assessment.
