Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. The final area we assessed turned out to be this facility's worst category. Nevertheless, even its lowest point would be a highlight for most nursing homes. We awarded it a favorable grade of B for our short-term care category. In determining our short-term care scores, we analyze a nursing home's levels of skilled nursing services, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other licensed professionals. This area is more often than not a useful assessment of the facility's ability to rehabilitate patients. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. On the other hand, according to the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The last measure we looked at in this area is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the nursing home and return home. We discovered that 4.8 percent of this nursing home's residents were able to return home.
