There are two nursing homes in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, which at least gives you a few options. This small group of nursing homes in this city received a solid city grade of B-. This is comparable with most of the places in the nation. The best part of this place's report card was its nursing homes' exemplary short-term care grades. Short-term care grades are discussed in the next paragraph.
Despite receiving a fairly ordinary overall grade, this city's nursing homes performed remarkably well in our short-term care category. In fact, Grosse Pointe received one of our best ratings in that area with a grade of A-. Cities with these types of short-term care grades generally have facilities offering physical therapy, highly skilled nursing and other services associated with rehabilitation. The city performed extremely well in the category of inspections as well. In fact, some of its facilities received almost flawless inspection reports this year. As a result, Grosse Pointe received a grade of A- in that area. Lastly, we gave Grosse Pointe grades of B- and F for our nursing and long-term care areas respectively. Even with otherwise respectable category grades, this city's poor long-term care grade could be a concern for many prospective residents.
