Westfield, Massachusetts offers only two nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. The nursing homes in this city received a phenomenal city grade of A-. Even with just a couple of facilities, this is still a great achievement. By way of comparison, we gave the facilities in the local city of Worcester a city grade of B, which is also an impressive grade. However, we found the facilities in Westfield to be a slightly better bet than the ones in Worcester. This city's impressive report card was highlighted by its nursing homes' long-term care scores, which is addressed in the next section.
On top of having quality nursing homes on the whole, this city's nursing homes really excelled in the area of long-term care where it earned a grade of A. Few cities fared this well in this area. When nursing homes receive a grade in this range in long-term care it typically means it has plenty of staff and is an overall good place to reside on a permanent basis. In addition, Westfield also performed spectacularly well in our inspection category, where it earned a grade of A- for that area. Wrapping up its excellent report card, this place received grades of A- and B+ for our nursing and short-term care areas respectively.
