West Bend, Wisconsin is an average size city with 49,012 people. The city features just 2 nursing homes, which doesn't provide you with too many choices. We awarded the nursing homes in this city a phenomenal city grade of A+. Even with only a couple of facilities, this is still quite an achievement. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Manitowoc, which received a city grade of B+. As good as the nursing homes are in Manitowoc, we found West Bend to be on a whole other level. Finally, this city's category grades were just as strong as its city grade. You should keep in mind that the severity of the deficiencies is arguably more important than the number of deficiencies, as some of these can be relatively insignificant. In addition, the city performed remarkably well in terms of its short-term care grade as well. Consequently, it received a grade of A+ in that category.
