With 92,865 people, Lynnwood, Washington is a medium size city. Surprisingly, there are just 2 nursing homes there, which is not quite as many as we expected in a city of this size. These facilities earned on average an overall grade of C. This isn't a terrible grade, but it is not as strong of a grade as we like to see either. This city appears to be a slightly better option than the nearby city of Marysville, which received a weak grade of D. Frankly, neither of these cities fared very well in our assessment. One of the highlights of this place's report card is its nursing homes' strong short-term care ratings, which we will address in the following section.
This city's nursing homes' overall grade was propped up by its impressive short-term care score. We gave the city one of our higher grades in that category, with a B+. Cities with these types of short-term care ratings usually have facilities with physical therapy, occupational therapy and other services related to rehabilitation. This city received its second highest score in the area of nursing, where we awarded it a B-, which also isn't a bad grade. In our final two categories, Lynnwood earned grades of C and D for our inspections and long-term care categories respectively. It goes without saying that this city's long-term care grade really dragged down its overall score.
