South Jordan, Utah is a relatively small city with 50,566 people. The city has just one nursing home, which is less than we were hoping for. We were relieved to discover that its only nursing home received an excellent overall grade of A+. For comparison's sake, we also assessed the nursing homes in the nearby city of Bountiful, which received an impressive city grade in its own right. However, we found that this nursing home in South Jordan is rated much higher than most of the facilities in Bountiful. One of the best aspects of this nursing home's report card is its short-term care grade. We discuss short-term care in the following section.
As mentioned above, this city's nursing home received a strong overall grade, but we gave it an impressive grade of A+ in short-term care. In our short-term care score, we endeavor to create a sound barometer for rehabilitation services. In doing so, we look at a facility's level of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as speech therapy. This nursing home also performed remarkably well in our long-term care category. In fact, we gave it a grade of A. Wrapping up its straight A profile, South Jordan received an A for its inspections rating and an A for nursing.
