With a population of 69,072 , Georgetown, Texas is a relatively small city. There are just 2 nursing homes there, which doesn't offer you too many options. We gave this city a city grade of C for an overall score. This is not a strong city grade. This grade unfortunately ended up on the wrong side of the national average. The best part of this city's report card was its nursing homes' remarkable inspection ratings. We discuss inspections in the following paragraph.
This city's nursing homes received a fairly ordinary overall grade, but we really would like to point out that some of its facilities nearly perfect health inspections the past few years. We awarded it an elite grade of A- in this area. Our inspection grades weigh a host of factors included in a facility's inspection report. One of the most important criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. Facilities with higher grades in this category usually have few severe deficiencies. Georgetown also received one of our better scores in our long-term care category, with a B. Lastly, the city received a B- in our short-term care category and a grade of D in nursing. In spite of an otherwise decent profile, a nursing score this poor may be a bad sign for nursing staffing levels.
