With a population of 93,487 people, Allen, Texas is a moderately populated city. Surprisingly, there are just 2 nursing homes there, which is not quite as many as we expected in a city of this size. These nursing homes were awarded on average an overall grade of C. This isn't a bad grade, but it isn't quite as high of a score as we had hoped for either. This grade unfortunately ended up on the wrong side of the national average. One of the major highlights of this place's profile is its exemplary inspection score, which we will address in the following section.
While its overall grade was fairly ordinary, we awarded Allen an A for our inspections rating. Our inspection grades account for several factors found on a facility's inspection report. One key criteria we consider is the number and severity of deficiencies. Facilities with better scores in this category usually have few of these severe deficiencies. Allen's second best category was short-term care, where it received a B- in this area. In the last two categories, we gave Allen grades of C and F for our long-term care and nursing categories respectively. Although we found the rest of its profile to be respectable, this nursing score isn't a good sign for levels of nursing staffing.
