Loma Linda, California has just three nursing homes to choose from, which is not a ton of options. The nursing homes in this city received a first-rate city grade of A-. Even with only a few facilities, this is still a great achievement. By way of comparison, we gave the facilities in the nearby city of San Bernardino a city grade of C, which is much lower grade. Naturally, we found the facilities in Loma Linda to be in a totally different league than the ones in San Bernardino. We were so impressed with this city that we ranked it as one of the top 500 cities in the entire nation.
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this city a grade of A for our nursing rating. Strong grades in this category generally mean the city's nursing homes offer impressive levels of staffing. In addition, Loma Linda performed spectacularly well in our short-term care category as well. Consequently, we awarded it an A- in this category. Rounding out its excellent report card, the city received an A- for its long-term care score and a grade of B+ in inspections.
