We were able to identify only one nursing home in Fallbrook, California. This facility received an overall grade of B, which is a perfectly respectable rating. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of San Marcos. With San Marcos receiving a terrible city grade, we found the facility in Fallbrook to be in a totally different league than most of the facilities in San Marcos. In addition to performing well in its overall grade, this city's lone nursing home performed extremely well in the area of inspections. In fact, it received a nearly flawless inspection report this year. Consequently, we awarded it one of our best ratings in that area with an A+. Inspection ratings are based on datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that excel in this category typically have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This place also received a strong long-term care rating. We awarded it a grade of B+ in that category. Finally, Fallbrook were awarded a B- for its short-term care grade and a grade of B- in nursing.
