Weatherford, Texas has eight nursing homes to choose from, which is not a bad selection. With a city grade of B-, this city was awarded a decent score. We also assessed the nursing homes in the nearby city of Mansfield, which received a city grade of D. While we aren't raving about either city, we found the nursing homes in Weatherford to be slightly better. Finally, this city's nursing homes received consistent grades in all four of the other areas we looked at. Additional information about these categories is available in the next paragraph.
While its overall rating was not elite, this city's nursing homes performed extremely well in our inspection category. In fact, we awarded it an A+ for that category, which is one of our best scores. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in determining our inspection grades. One of those factors is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of deficiencies is usually more meaningful than the quantity of deficiencies, as some can be relatively minor. Weatherford earned a B for our long-term care category. Lastly, Weatherford earned a C for its short-term care score and a C for nursing.
