Granbury, Texas has only four nursing homes to choose from, so you don't have too many options to choose from. The relatively small group of nursing homes in this city received a city grade of C, which is not a great grade at the city level. This grade unfortunately ended up on the wrong side of the national average. The best part of this place's report card was its nursing homes' stellar inspection grades. Inspection reports are discussed in the following paragraph.
Despite receiving a somewhat average overall grade, this city's nursing homes performed extremely well in the area of inspections. In fact, some of the nursing homes in the city received nearly perfect inspection reports this year. Consequently, we awarded Granbury one of our highest grades in that category with an A. Inspection scores weigh several factors included in a nursing home's inspection reports. One of the most important criteria we consider is the number and severity of deficiencies. Nursing homes with better grades in this area usually have very few of these severe deficiencies. This city's next best category was long-term care, where it earned a C in this area. In the other categories we looked at, Granbury received a C in our short-term care category and a grade of D in the area of nursing. Even with an otherwise respectable profile, a nursing score of this caliber may be an ominous sign for nursing staffing levels.
