We assessed the only nursing home in Owasso, Oklahoma. We awarded the city's only nursing home a grade of B-, which is a a respectable score. We also assessed the facilities in the nearby city of Claremore. We found the facility in Owasso to be a better bet than most of the nursing homes in Claremore. The best part of this place's profile was its stellar inspection rating. Inspection reports are discussed in the following section.
While its overall score was fairly ordinary, this city's only nursing home performed spectacularly well in our inspection category. In fact, we awarded it an A+ for that category, which is one of our best scores. Inspection grades weigh a host of factors included in a nursing home's inspection reports. One key criteria we weigh heavily is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. Facilities with better grades in this category typically have very few of these severe deficiencies. This nursing home also received one of our better scores in long-term care, where we gave it a B+ for the category. In the last two categories, we awarded the city grades of B- and D for our short-term care and nursing areas respectively. In spite of an otherwise respectable profile, a nursing rating of this caliber may be a bad sign for levels of nurse staffing.
