Apache Junction, Arizona is a relatively small city with 49,387 people. The city has only one nursing home, which is not the selection we were hoping for. We were relieved to discover that its only nursing home received a superb overall grade of A. In fact, this is one of the 250 best cities in the country. This is impressive considering we ranked thousands of cities around the nation. One of the major highlights of Apache Junction's report card is its inspection reports. Inspection grades are discussed in the next section.
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this city's only nursing home an A+ for our inspections rating. Inspection scores are tied to datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that score well in this category have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. We also gave this city an A for our short-term care category. Wrapping up its report card, Apache Junction received strong grades for our nursing and long-term care categories as well.
